About SecondBrain

A personal system for organizing information and notes

SecondBrain is a privately operated, self-hosted knowledge-management project. It helps its operator collect, organize, search, and connect notes, documents, email, and calendar information.

How Google data is used

With the account owner's permission, SecondBrain uses Google's APIs to read Gmail messages and Google Calendar events. This lets the system capture relevant information, organize it with other notes and documents, and provide personal search and knowledge-management features.

The app requests read-only Gmail and Calendar permissions. It does not request permission to send email, modify messages, or create or edit calendar events.

Who can use it?

SecondBrain is a personal project for its operator, not a public application or a service offered for registration. This website provides information about the project and its data practices; it is not a login page and does not connect to the private SecondBrain system.

Privacy and data handling

Google account data is processed for the personal knowledge-management functionality described above. Details about access, processing, storage, retention, and revocation are in the Privacy Policy. See also the Terms of Use.
